THE SITUATION
Huawei had no name on the Saudi street yet.
This was an introduction: Huawei devices entering the Saudi market through Al Quraishi Trading Company, with everything still to prove at retail.
The target was concrete and conservative - each promoter was set a thousand riyals of devices a day. That is the useful kind of brief. Everything above the line is visible.
WHAT WE DID
01
Fifty booths, placed like media
We prepared fifty branded booths and placed them where the traffic already was - malls and venues across Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. The booth is the billboard; it just also sells.
02
Twenty promoters, properly armed
The team of twenty promoters and their supervisors were trained on the devices and equipped with point-of-sale material, backed by outdoor billboards and in-mall placements so the booth was never the first touch.
03
Rotate and count
Promoters rotated from location to location, demonstrating and selling, with every day counted against the thousand-riyal target. Seventy-five days later the total read about eight million.
WHAT IT PROVES
A LOW FORECAST IS NOT A SMALL OPPORTUNITY. IT IS AN UNCONTESTED ONE.
A newcomer with a conservative target is an open goal: nobody is defending the space above it. The award followed the number, not the other way round.
